TPG Consulting performed a Technical Software Assessment which revealed significant gaps in the current system’s design and operation, as well as opportunities to enhance stability and scalability. Assessment included identification of (1) Infrastructure Risks of system reliance on a single database server instance for workloads, (2) Operational gaps of lacking monitoring and performance analytics impedes proactive system management. (3) Technical constraints of the current development team heavily focused on the Microsoft stack with limited architectural flexibility, and (4) Inefficient data processes related to ingestion pipelines requiring full reloads due to the lack of delta processing capabilities.
Output was creation of a future state to address immediate system stability concerns without undertaking a complete platform re-architecture balance with implementation of rapid improvements to ensure critical design characteristics such as reliability, performance, and scalability.
The proposed Future State included (1) Establishing monitoring and analytics frameworks to enable proactive system health checks and performance management. (2) Introduction of architectural enhancements, such as decoupling workloads, to reduce risks and improve scalability and, (3) Optimize data pipelines to support delta processing and reduce operational overhead.
This assessment provided a clear roadmap to stabilize the existing technical landscape and build a foundation for future growth, leveraging targeted improvements to deliver measurable value efficiently.
This resulted in enhanced system stability and reduced business continuity risks, improved operational efficiency through better data handling and system performance and greater readiness to support client loads and moderate growth without major disruptions.
